Hiraya Ventures is the family office of Alliv Samson and Hengjie Wang, co-founders of global edtech platform Kami, used by over 70 million students and teachers worldwide. In 2025, they were named EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
After scaling Kami for over 13 years, we launched Hiraya to put our experience and capital back into the ecosystem that helped us get started. Today, we invest in the next generation of Kiwi founders with global ambition.
Beyond investing, we back the people and causes shaping Aotearoa New Zealand’s future. Through philanthropy, we support initiatives across education, arts and culture, and emerging Kiwi talent.
